Thanks for the info! I was searching to find a replacement ever since I borrowed my old ECG book; that sadly, was never returned 🙁 Thus, at the same time I would like to get a newer one. I know this is no longer possible now (current day), but still; like many others; I'd like trying to get one of the last printouts.

It's just that ECG was; and ironically, still is; so superior to NTE (to this very day). Ie, I found more useful an old ECG that a new NTE guide. In fact, I don't understand why they weren't either correctly merged or let continue as is. Maybe they just wanted to kill the trademark (competition).

I removed it and found a few blown TO-92 designed transistors on the power supply board. The part number on one transistor I can't find online or on a cross reference website.

The part number is printed on transistor like P/N 988 -1 (the number 2 inside of a circle) 448 The second TO-92 designed transistor was also blown so bad I can't identify the whole part number. The electronic instrument cluster display is a 1986-1987 model.
